Tutors for the Summer Term 2026

Generalities

Tutors or lab course assistants are generally employed in the following courses. The labels mean:

  • Wanted: Tutors are likely to be needed here. If you are interested, please contact the lecturer first.
  • Unknown: No information from the lecturer about available or needed tutors. If you are interested, please contact the lecturer directly.
  • Full: There are likely to be enough tutors available. However, you can put your name on a waiting list – sometimes additional tutors are needed at short notice.

If you are interested, please always contact the lecturer first (or Silke Lips-Klumb for the basic and medical lab courses) and ask for their consent.

All new tutors and lab course assistants must have attended a tutor training course beforehand.

English-speaking Tutors

In general, there is no problem to have tutorials in well-spoken English. In the M.Sc. curricula English is actually the default language. However, keep in mind that physics beginners (both B.Sc. and B.Ed.) have sufficient problems with both physics and mathematics, therefore these students should always have the choice to choose the language. In addition, the beginners lab courses are, so far, German-speaking only.

The employment of English-speaking tutors is completely under the responsibility of the respective lecturer. Therefore, if you are English-speaking and like to teach a beginner's course, just ask the respective lecturer. Normally there are possibilities to employ a limited number of English-speaking tutors also in the beginner's courses.
